He Is Here

Praise the Lord!  Our attendance for Easter Sunday doubled what it was the Sunday prior!  If you attended the service at Sparta Baptist this past Sunday, you must have felt Him!  He was there moving amongst everyone of us!  The praise band started the service with an uplifting combination of traditional hymns and contemporary songs.  There is a comfort and peace that remains in our church and we have something for everyone.  There is excitement building amongst the humble people of Sparta Baptist Church.  Smiles were stretched across the faces of everyone as church family returned to visit our church.  The church was beautifully decorated with fragrant spring flowers such as tulips, hyacinths, and Easter lilies.  Visiting pastor, Jason Holbrook delivered a delightful sermon and we enjoyed meeting him as well as his family.

As a special song says, "He is here, Alleluia, He is here, Amen.  He is here, you can touch Him, you will never be the same."  The Lord is definately in Sparta Baptist Church.  He exists not only in that building but in the hearts of everyone there.  If you are still and quiet, you will hear him call your name.  Once you hear him and accept him in your heart, you are protected by His grace and will have everlasting life.  Then no man or living creature can ever separate you from the Lord.  That alone is what our Faith is built on.

Romans 8:39 says
No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If you would like to hear Him or feel Him move, please join us Sunday for another wonderful sermon.  Visiting pastor, Jason Holbrook will return to speak God's word.  Please come out and join us.

Reviving Our Faith

Sparta Baptist Church is a body of Christians who love to serve the Lord.  We are blessed to have our church so that we can worship together.  We are a small body but are excited to grow as we witness to others and allow God to move amongst us.  We are eager to see where God will take us in the coming days, weeks, and years!

Easter Sunday is close upon us.  We are extremely excited to welcome visiting pastor, Jason Holbrook to our church.  We pray that the Lord uses him to give us strength as we grow.  We pray that many will come out and see the revived Sparta Baptist Church, as we welcome everyone.

Spring is God's way of making everything new.  Trees, plants and flowers are revived from a long harsh winter.  Their emerging every spring, reminds us that we also can be revived and made new.  As we celebrate Easter Sunday, remember that no matter the trials we are all going through, the Lord loves us so much that he sent his only Son to die on the cross for our sins.  And just like the promise was made that Jesus would rise from death, He also promises to protect us and take care of us.  He uses trials to build our Faith.  Allow Him to build yours.  Have Faith that He will take care of everything.

Matthew 28:5 - 7
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
